A woman discovers the father of the child she is nannying may be her biggest (Only)Fan in this steamy contemporary romance by Lana Ferguson.

Suddenly unemployed and on the brink of eviction, Cassie Evans is left with two choices: get a new job (and fast) or fire up her long-untouched OnlyFans account. But the job market is terrible, and as for OnlyFans. . . . Well, there are reasons she can’t go back. Just when all hope seems lost, an ad for a live-in nanny position seems like the solution to all her problems. It’s almost too perfect—until she meets her would-be employer.

Aiden Reid, executive chef and DILF extraordinaire, is far from the stuffy single dad Cassie was imagining. He shocks her when he tells her she’s the most qualified applicant he’s met in weeks, practically begging her to take the job. With hands that make her hindbrain howl and eyes that scream sex, the idea of living under the same roof as Aiden feels dangerous, but with no other option, she decides to stay with him and his adorably tenacious daughter, Sophie.

Cassie soon discovers that Aiden is not a stranger at all, but instead someone who is very familiar with her—or at least, her body. Given that he doesn’t remember her, Cassie is faced with what feels like an impossible situation. As their relationship heats to temperatures hotter than any kitchen Aiden has ever worked in, Cassie struggles with telling Aiden the truth, and the more terrifying possibility—losing the best chance at happiness she’s ever had.

Ferguson’s equally sexy and endearing debut finds occupational therapy student Cassie Evans struggling to keep her head above water after losing her job. Facing eviction, Cassie jumps at the opportunity to be a full-time, live-in nanny for attractive single father and executive chef Aiden Reid and his daughter. It’s either that, or she returns to the OnlyFans account she deactivated after her love connection with an anonymous fan ended in heartbreak: after a series of flirtatious and emotional messages, the fan ghosted her, triggering Cassie’s abandonment issues. Unbeknownst to Cassie, Aiden and the mystery fan are the same. The pair work together seamlessly, but attraction makes it hard to keep things platonic—until Cassie learns Aiden’s identity, leading her to question both Aiden’s intentions and their budding romance. Ferguson makes the will-they-won’t-they sing with complex emotional shading and a strong sense of inevitability to her protagonists’ connection. The secondary characters, especially Aiden’s feisty neighbor and adorably sassy daughter, add depth. Rosie Danan fans should snap this up. Agent: Jessica Watterson, Sandra Dijkstra Literary.

Recently unemployed, Cassie needs to find a job and a new lease on life. When the perfect opportunity comes her way, she jumps at the chance to be a live-in nanny for the daughter of a sexy single father. What she doesn't expect is that her OnlyFans cam girl past could catch up with her in a very surprising way. Aiden's life changed when he gained full custody of his young daughter. Now he is juggling his high-pressure career with raising his child. His growing attraction to Cassie is a distraction he can't afford, but there is just something about her that seems familiar. Dual narrators perform Ferguson's debut contemporary romance, each expertly portraying the myriad of emotions experienced throughout the story. Samantha Summers narrates most of the novel, told from Cassie's point of view, while Jameson Adams narrates the scattered sections told from Aiden's perspective. Summers's use of pacing and tone as she performs the intimate scenes involving the couple will have listeners fanning themselves from the scorching heat, especially as she captures Aiden's desire with a sexy, growly voice. VERDICT Summers and Adams add even more heat to this steamy romance, making it a must-purchase for most collections.--Amanda L. S. Murphy
