      Superhero scientist Axiom is joined by his nephew, Nick, to examine cell structure and function. There's some appeal to the comic-style illustrations, many of which show Axiom shrunken to cell size, but they do little to explain the unrelenting stream of facts. The appended glossary surprisingly overlooks many of the volume's difficult biology terms. Reading list. Ind.
