Come for a visit in Bear Country with this classic First Time Book® from Stan and Jan Berenstain. Sister has learned a new word . . . and it’s a big blooper. How will Papa, Mama, and Brother react when they hear her say it, and will they be able to help her break this bad habit? This beloved story is a perfect way to teach children about the importance of choosing their words carefully.

After Sister Bear watches a curse-riddled video at a friend's house, she shocks her family by swearing at the dinner table. Mama Bear's insights into why people curse (for attention, to seem grown-up) are fair enough, but the book suffers from preachiness, cliched writing, artless cartoon illustrations, and naivete: we're to believe that Sister Bear has never heard a swear word before.
